Day 7, what I personally describe as a mindset, and one that definitely has come in handy more than once in the last few years. A mindset that gives me the permission I sometimes feel like I need in order to start again, and know that it’s completely okay to do so. Because as much as we like to read about how we do not need permission to do anything in life, let’s be real here… sometimes we do. Most of the time, maybe 9/10 times it needs to come from ourselves.
Just go with the flow. Surely, you’ve heard that one before. It’s a saying that’s meant to elicit a mindset of freedom, of calm, a sense that we can (and should) just focus on… living. Then comes the opposite sentiment, one that has become so popular it’s now even considered a whole culture of its own. Hustle culture. Yup, pretty sure that you have been acquainted with this as well, especially with the rise of digital entrepreneurship. You know, that go-getter mindset, that constant reminder of “dreams don’t work unless you do”. Now, no matter where you sit on the spectrum, or maybe you don’t even notice this spectrum, this post is not meant to diss either one or claim...
We all have our very own version of what our dream life looks like, right? Naturally, this leads us to think about what will help us get there and create the goals that will serve as the building blocks for our vision. Now, the question is, what happens when our momentum abruptly plateaus the moment we hit some sort of roadblock? Do we give up, or do we keep going? Keep going, why, of course! Or at least, we tell ourselves at times all the while doing the direct opposite. Why even is that?
So and so got their dream job, so and so has traveled all around the world, so and so has... zero problems and lives a carefree life. Thanks to these constant messages we receive whether through social media, friends, and lets not even talk about family… the main message is clear. You have to be successful. If you’re not, something must be wrong with you, right? It might seem a bit extreme, but let’s be real here and get to the root of the negative self talk we all experience at one point or another in our lives.
Start a Youtube channel, start a podcast, and blogging is dead! Have you hard, read, or listened to the most recent years when searching on how exactly to grow your business? Most likely, right? Well, it’s for a good reason. Having and implementing an effective and sustainable marketing strategy has always been necessary for any business, but with an oversaturated market it’s more important now than ever before. The good news is, that it’s also easier than ever before thanks to the internet.
